The term of the EC shall be three calendar years starting from January 1.

The EC shall meet six times at regular intervals during its term of three years. At least 20 days notice will be required for calling a meeting of the EC. But an extra-ordinary meeting may be called at 10 days notice. The quorum shall be one-third of the membership of EC.
Functions of the Executive Council:
1.
The President: The President will preside over the meetings of the General Body and EC. The President will give general guidance and advice for the affairs of ACT and shall be ACT's principal spokesperson.

Vice President: In the absence of the President, the age-wise senior most Vice President will discharge the duties of the President. Each Vice President shall head the regional working group along with the respective Secretary and EC members of that region for propagating ACT's message and work. The activities of the regions shall be conducted on a self-sufficient basis as far as possible.

The General Secretary: The General Secretary shall be the Chief Executive of ACT and shall represent ACT in all matters. He will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the membership records, issuing notices for the meetings, working of sub-committees etc. He will make correspondence on behalf of ACT. He will hold charge of ACT office, staff records and ACT properties and assets jointly with the Treasurer.

The Secretary: The Secretary shall assist the General Secretary in all tasks. Each secretary will work in his region to propagate the message and work of ACT.

The Treasurer: The Treasurer shall be in charge of all books of accounts, receipt books and funds of ACT. The Treasurer shall ensure the proper audit of accounts and shall present the audited accounts and budget to the EC and the General Body. The Treasurer will be jointly responsible for keeping the assets and properties of ACT along with the General Secretary.
Amendment of the Constitution:
Any amendment of the Constitution and Bye-laws of ACT shall be made only by the General Body. The proposed changes should be circulated along with the agenda of the General Body meeting and will be approved only if two-thirds of the members present approve of the change.
Termination of Membership:
The General Body has the right to terminate the membership of a member if in its opinion, his activities are detrimental to the interests of ACT.
Dissolution:
In the event of dissolution of ACT, the funds and assets shall be transferred to any institution whose objectives are close to those of ACT. Under no circumstances the funds and assets will be distributed among ACT members.
